It’s actually interesting...We used manual toothbrushes or really cheap electric toothbrushes over the years. So we struggled to brush for two minutes since brushing teeth wasn’t too enjoyable for us. Over thanksgiving I bought a relatively better quality electric toothbrush for the whole family. All of a sudden we are now enjoying brushing our teeth. However, although the toothbrushes have a 2 minute timer embedded, it will automatically shutoff after 2 minutes. That’s a problem because I might spend more time on one particular quadrant and before I know it, 2 minutes is up and I didn’t complete brushing my teeth. So I turned on the turtle timer and now all my quadrants get equal cleaning and it limits me to 2 minutes now : ) The first thing I do is to start the 2 minute turtle timer. The blinking lights give me time to put toothpaste/water on the brush and begin brushing. My wife is equally enjoying the turtle timer.

I tutor foreign languages to students. They love it when I have them press the Two Minute Turtle and then they talk for the 2 minutes. I call it the Two Minute Turtle Talker.
— Fiona B, French, Spanish, German language teacher in Paris, Boston, Switzerland
I don’t have to press the Turtle’s button each night to brush my teeth. But I do. I like to follow the lights. I feel like I did something very well. It gets me on the right track.
